Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers

Te Anau Backpackers provides a well maintained, clean, cosy & warm accommodation lodge to base yourself whilst you explore the Fiords, Tracks, Caves, Lakes and Scenery of Fiordland National Park.

The hostel has a fully equipped community kitchen & self catering private rooms. Most of our dorms are ensuite and all rooms are heated. There is purpose built TV lounge with a DVD player and loads of videos for you to choose from. Our Backpackers lodge has three lounge areas, one with a log fire, CD player, piano, guitar, games etc. We have coin operated washing machines and dryers. There are card and coin phones available.

There are some lovely views of the lake and mountains from our balconies or you can rest in front of the hostel beside the lake to admire the view. Behind the hostel is a BBQ and garden area in which to relax.

We are only a few minutes’ walk to the Te Anau village centre where you will find a good selection of supermarkets, cafes, bars, Restaurants and shops.
