Rainbow Motel is located in the historic thermal village of Tokaanu, the gateway to the National Park area of New Zealand's North Island.

Centrally located, a 4 hour drive from either of the major centres of Auckland and Wellington will have you at Rainbow Motel and within easy reach of some of the Aotearoa's most treasured land.

We have 7 units - 4 x 2 bedrooms & 3 x 1 bedrooms with full cooking facilities provided. Lounge area with table & chairs. TV, Bathroom with shower & separate toilet. Central thermal heating all units.

Tokaanu has the fortune to be situated in an active geothermal area. Part of this natural resource is in the form of hot mineral springs which well naturally from deep under the ground. They are very therapeutic and provide the opportunity to relax and do nothing!

Rainbow Motel has four private hot mineral pools that are free for guest use only. The hot mineral water comes from a spring on site. Temperatures range from 35 to 40 degrees celsius
