River Retreat has two B&B rooms in a separate, purpose built pavilion. Each has its own ensuite, entrance and private deck. Our home is set in two acres of gardens which lead down to a grassy flat on the edge of the Waitangi River.

The rooms have a tasteful, modern decor and feature queen sized beds, 100% cotton linen, tea/coffee, fridge, TV/DVD, hair dryer and wireless internet. We provide filtered drinking water. A generous continental and cooked breakfast is served in our home.
The native plants, abundant bird life and tranquil river flowing by, all combine to create a relaxing and peaceful setting.

Getting there: From Auckland 3.5 - 4.0 hours
Take the State Highway 1 from Auckland, passing through the towns of Whangarei, Kawakawa and Moerewa.
Turn right onto State Highway 10 at the Pakaraka intersection. The signage shows
Bay of Islands, Kerikeri.
Turn right onto State Highway 11 at Puketona Junction - signage is to Paihia.
River Retreat is No. 838 Puketona road - 4.4km from Puketona Junction on the left hand side.

From Kerikeri Airport 10min
Drive to the roundabout and turn right (South) onto State Highway 10.
Turn left at Puketona Junction onto the Paihia road. We are situated 4.4km from the Junction on the left hand side.
