Kathmandu Hotels

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and it is also the largest city in Nepal. Newars are the residents, who speak Nepal Bhasa. It is located in the tri-city area in the Kathmandu Valley in central Nepal, along the Bagmati River. The two other cities are Patan and Bhaktapur. Kathmandu was said, constructed in 723 AD with several of Buddhism blessing this region. The direction signs are hardly seen, only some of important buildings. Many places in the city are worth a visit, especially if you are cultured travellers e.g. King’s Palace, Durbar Square, the ancient square crowded with palaces and temples, including the Kasthamandap or ‘Wooden house’ has given the city’s name, Thamel Chowk has lots of restaurants and shops. Exploring on foot is permitted, yet Rickshaws are wiser.
