Pay the extra and stay in one of the villa rooms or royal villa rooms. It is worth it. This was a wonderful hotel, rustic in the traditional myanmar teak style, but wonderfully comfortable and beautifully maintained hotel. The staff are just delightful.
the location and the settings are really beautiful; nevertheless, there are not enjoyable common spaces in case you wanted to spend some time at the resort relaxing or reading. the superior cottages had no air conditioning (installed but not working) and the room was very humid and cold at night. also the restaurant was really very cold, you had to eat wearing your coat, especially in the morning.
Excellent new hotel, staff and service were excellent, and for Inle the food was way above average. Stayed at Princess last trip, this is better and cheaper.
