Marrakech or Murrakush means Land of God in Berber (the locals mostly used language). It is known as the Red City, located in the foothills of Atlas Mountains in south-western of Morocco. Like many North African and Middle Eastern cities, Marrakech has two main divisions: the old city (médina) and the modern city. On-foot explore is great in the medinas. Djemma El Fna highlights the city’s nights with musicians, dancers and story tellers pack this square. Hammams (Turkish Bath) are also getting popular among tourists, getting more Moroccan experience with ‘Popular’ hammams, where nudity is absolutely not allowed, yet local massage offers can be seen and expected it in return. Shopping in souks, the bargain is enjoyable and supposed.
