Ninh Binh Map
The city of Ninh Binh is situated in the southernmost plains of North Vietnam. It is the capital of the province of the same name, which is found between the Red and Ma Rivers. Compared to other cities in Vietnam Ninh Binh is not as well known. However, its location makes it a crucial stop for many tourists because it offers access to other tourist spots. For instance, Ninh Binh is in close proximity to Tam Coc (‘Three Grottoes’), a natural attraction of three caves.
One of the best things Ninh Binh can offer visitors is its breathtaking landscape. The scenery in itself is worth the trip. In this place, one will find karsts – rock formations that appear to have risen from the mists. One wonderful attraction that is 30 minutes away from Ninh Binh is the Cuc Phuong National Park, the first national park of Vietnam and home to 400 species of animals.
Those who are planning to go to Ninh Binh are advised to go on a planned overnight trip from Hanoi (which is two hours away from Ninh Binh). One day is not enough to see all that there is to see in the town.
