Helengeli Island Resort

The typically Maldivian resort is situated far away from other tourist resorts at the very far north of the Male' Atoll. The island is reachable within 15 minutes flight by seaplane from Male' International Airport. Helengeli is situated in 90 degree angle to the outer reef and has on both sides a deep channel. Because of this circumstance the house reef is crowded with many big fish rarely seen on other places. With its 6 entrances the house reef is easy reachable for snorkeling and diving right from the beach. About 36 untouched dive spots are nearby Helengeli (5 to 60 minutes dhoni ride).

The bungalows are tastefully spread over the island. All rooms are equally furnished and offer an open air bathroom, AC/fan, hair dryer, beach towels, mini bar (chargeable), safe and two sun beds as well as a little veranda with wooden chairs and table.

Helengeli is a mecca for the divers. The Ocean-Pro Dive Team is a PADI diving school under a Swiss management. The programme includes all PADI courses from the beginner level to assistant instructor and a lot of special courses. The dive sites around Helengeli are known as one of the bests of the Maldives. Because of the location of Helengeli almost no other dive boats are seen on these spots.

>>Transfer<<
Flight details are required 3 days before arrival, so the hotel can arrange seaplane transfer accordingly. If flight details are received less than 3 days to arrival date, seaplane transfer on the same day can't be guaranteed.

Seaplanes only travel during day time 07.00 till 17.00 hrs. If arrives time is later than 14.30 hrs. an overnight stay in Male need to be arranged.

After leaving the arrival hall at the international airport in Male' the hotel's airport representative (Crown Tours, counter no. 50) will guide you to the check-in for the seaplane.

The hotel is about 45 km away from the airport. Seaplane takes approximately 15 minutes, and then another 5 minutes by dhoni (Maldivian boat) from the platform to the island. Speedboat transfer is not available.
