Excellent for family holiday. Good location with nice beach and sea. Big buffet!
On the whole, our stay is very nice. However, there are some negative points like there were not enough staff to handle arrivals when we check-in and the rooms were not ready when we checked in at 4.30pm. We were so tired after driving about 8 hours from Singapore to Lumut and spent 1 hour plus waiting and taking the ferry. However, as the rooms were very not clean yet, we can't even get a rest. We had to hang around the beach and only after repeated calls to the front office did the housekeeping staff finally cleaned our rooms at about 6.30pm.
The positive points were that the staff were very apologetic about the delay and they said many guests checked out late and they couldn't cope with the cleaning for the next batch of arrivals. The hotel sent us some fruits that night, so I thought it was quite a good gesture. Anyway, apart from this incident, our stay at the hotel for the next 4 days were very good as the breakfast and dinner buffet were good and the housekeeping & restuarant staff were excellent.
We had Ocean Wing rooms which were clean and spacious. However, we were quite disappointed with the beach. Though it was a very private beach, it wasn't a very long stretch unlike those I have enjoyed in Cherating and Langkawi. In addition, I think the beack is facing South-West, so the sun was quite glaring both in the morning and afternoon.

Upgraded to Ocean Wing. Hotel charged for an extra bed in the room, usually provided gratis. Also air conditioning in the room was not very efficient and the room was hot despite also having a fan
