Heritage Hotel Ipoh

Rooms are nothing like described, I booked an executive room but it was just another room, the additional ammenities mentioned in their website was not there. Left my room the day after I checked in at 1000 hrs and left the "please make up my room" sign at the door, came back at 1900 hrs and the room was still in the state that I have left it in the morning. As for the food from the restaurant, only one word can describe it - horrible! Or maybe, two words, Very Horrible. The hot water tap should be called Warm Water Tap (if you are lucky you get warm water, forget about hot). Was supposed to get breakfast for two, but only got coupons for One, although they did eventually give us another one. Asked concierge to book a taxi for us to the airport as we checked out, more than 15 minutes later, we had to go back inside and ask, and only then was told that they cannot get one. We could have at least been informed. Apart from that, the staff very friendly especially at the Reception, and the hotel was very clean. Good for people who are on holiday and have the time to eat outside and not at the hotel's restaurant, and those who do not need a hot shower. If you are on a business trip and rely and room service - goodness god, find another place to eat at least.

Okie first up this aint a new hotel. It glaringly obvious the moment u see the place but it wasnt a bad stay at all. The bell boys were all rather pleasant. We had no problems we the check-in. Staff in general were warm and friendly. We booked 2 rooms during our stay at this hotel. The hotel seems to be upgrading its premises at the moment. 1 of our rooms seem to be refurbished. Simple and functional. Carpeted flooring had been replaced with laminated floors, better for those with asthma ! The other room was of course the older one, but it was relatively clean. Not to much dust. Clean sheets etc. Overall it was not a bad stay at all. I expected worse and was pleasantly suprised in the end. Thumbs up to the hotel management for changing my views of the place ( the reviews i read were not very promising). Wished they had a swimming pool though :)

I was unhappy with the services provided by the hotel. Due to late my check-in at 10pm, they have downgraded my initial booking deluxe room which I paid earlier to superior room. The reason given was due to request of king bed and unavailability of king size bed on deluxe room, we were give the only option that is to downgrade us to superior room and they include some deluxe settings into the room eg. slippers, shampoo, lotions and hair dryer. Bad experience staying in this hotel.
