Pahang Darul Makmur: the Land Of Prosperity. This largest state in the Malaysian peninsular is the proud owner of a land mass spread over all of 35,000 square kilometres. This state's capital city is Kuantan. Pahang's royal town is called Pekan, which translates literally into "town". The state capital of this state is Kuantan, 45 kilometres to the north of the royal town. Pahang consists of 11 main districts of Kuantan , Pekan, Rompin, Maran, Temerloh, Jerantut, Bentong, Raub, Lipis, Cameron Highlands and Bera.
