Bayview Hotel Malacca

well the location is good in the heart of Melaka; i was not happy with having to pay for wifi; everyone is into the use of the internet whether or not on holiday and considering the amount paid for the room per night; the hotel should have free wifi for its patrons. I was disappointed at this. There was also additional free 1 hour at the doremi karaoke; but i should not be forced to place an order for a drink; so i did not use this. If u throw in something for free then it should be for free; i should not be forced to purchase anything; though it be for business.... its not ethical

Looks like a better and bigger hotel in area but maintenance is very poor and hotel look old internally

We returned from this hotel with a very bad taste in mouth! After spending one night at Holiday Inn, we were looking for a suitable and comparable hotel in Melaka. We booked two deluxe rooms after getting the impression that rooms will be high floor, as was described in web site. When we arrived for check in, we were told that deluxe rooms are not available and they are offering us two bedroom suite which was on 3rd floor. We had no other option but to accept it. The third floor suite has a terrible outside view, all sides blocked by hospital and another high rise hotel. One bed room with king size bed didn't have attached toilet, while the other room had twin beds but had attached toilet. This defied logic and common sense to us. When I turned on my iPad for Internet, there was no wifi signal in the room. We thought to leave the gloomy moods behind, and decided to go out for a walk. But the door wouldn't lock from outside! The breakfast was bad, but the coffee was terrible. We decided to leave the hotel and went to Holiday Inn cafe for a fresh cup of coffee. I had to digest that we actually paid for two rooms which was much higher than the rate of the suite.
