Conveniently located in Kuah town close to amenities such as shops, restaurants and banks, the Grand Continental Langkawi offers comfortable and relaxing accommodation at moderate prices. The spacious rooms are basic but adequate and are especially good for large families as they can easily fit in extra beds. The seven-storey hotel was built in traditional Malaysian-style architecture and has a wide range of facilities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool and karaoke lounge.

1. Staff not friendly, e.g not smiling, greeting etc
2. Room and carpet very old (maybe because i reserve thru the internet - discount room )
3. Been travelling a lot but even at the original/normal price the hotel is not at par with other 3star hotel with the same original price
4. Lucky got the discounted price if the normal price don't think i'll will book this hotel
5. Breakfast - not enough food (i.e finished food not refill immediately), not much choices (i.e variety of food)
6. Room facilites - air-cond problem, not remote tv - need to request if avail. (unfortunately out of stock for us), toilet - flush problem, no place to put the soap etc @shower. Phone not working
7. Not recommend for honeymoon or family holiday.....

Location is very good for the shopper and traveller
I hope the hotel management can improve the room facilities esp. the bathroom. the bathtab was very bad. hope the management can do something about it.
