Concorde Inn KL International Airport

Thi shotel was chosen as a simple stop over, being advertised as on airport. The hotel is in fact some 3km trip from KLIA. The hotel shuttle is every 40 mins. However upon checkout in the morning, I was informed it would cost me 30myn to return me to KLIA for an early morning flight. Breakfast is advertised as from 4am, but there was no food available until 5:30am, so water and bread was given in a very unfriendly restaurant. I paid for a deluxe room, was given the same as standard so very unhappy. the bathroom was filthy with hairs etc in the washbasin. I used the phone for 17 mins to call thailand and was charged some 190myn. CONSIDER using this hotel carefully, its a place that will drain your wallet quickly.

We found the rooms basic but clean, the hotel has a coach which transfers guests between hotel and airport, our experience was that the system works like clockwork. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very helpful

I'm backpacking and decided on a "splurge" on a nice hotel with my girlfriend for a change but I was bitterly disappointed with the hotel for so many reasons. Staff were fairly off handish with requests and despite checking in at 11pm they were unable to supply me with a towel (which should have been in the room on check in) until 2am after seven calls to reception and finally the duty manager. The wifi was very inconsistent in that it worked at "off times" on my girlfriends Mac yet not t all on my iPhone. The breakfast was EXCELLENT yet we were told it was served till 11.30 but in reality it was 10.30 so obviously I was delighted to be told on sitting down at 10.20 that I had ten minutes to get out of the dining room!!! It was almost impossible to buy bottled water - the little shop in reception (not linked to the hotel) was not allowed to sell soft drinks or bottled water - we were offered tap water from the restaurant bar but decided against it. The AC was fine and the showers were good too but little things like not being allowed to drink soda from your expensive mini bar by the pool and the key card not opening the door twice in two days resulting in treks back to reception just really annoyed us both. The screens with flight info in reception are a brilliant idea but they only cover flights from the KLIA terminal and not LCCT!!!! I asked to use the lobby computers as my wifi wasn't working but was told there was a charge!!! Considering the great value I have seen in youth hostels in the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, China and now Vietnam (as well as two subsequent nights in KL central) I have to say honestly that I was very, very angry and disappointed with Concorde Inn taking into account the cost of the accommodation and poor service.
