Was tempted by the price and the alleged view of the Petronas towers and booked a room with a Double bed.
Checked in and walked into a room with no view and 2 single beds! When I confronted the reception. The gentleman there meticulously points out to me that I had failed to read the fine print that "All requests are subject to availability", including bedding arrangements.
Corridors of room floors are reminiscent of Kubrick's "The Shining", including the eerie old lift bell sound. The rooms remind me of old country club resorts (minus the charm) that has not seen a refurbishment since the 1980s.
Was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes while waiting a further 10 minutes at the lobby for a room change when I decided to pull the plug on this stay.
Luckily enough another gentlemen at the reception was kind enough to refund me what I had just put down for the room, minus the fees I had already paid to AsiaWebDirect.
Walked out to realize the location is not great either. Motorcycle repair shops and hardware stores, with a few coffeeshops in between. Not the best place to flag down a taxi either.
