Strategically located on the fringes of the golden triangle of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, this street was affectionately known as Batu Road, famed for its cobbled side streets of Little India hawking colourful silk saris, ornaments, masses of carpets, textiles, centuries old kopi tiam (coffee shops) and varieties of local hawker fares. A short distance away is Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and some of the main tourist belts.

The Cititel Express offers easy access to the city hottest spots. Leisure and business travelers will find the modest accommodations well-designed for their comfort and convenience.

The hotel wasn't easy to locate. If we hadn't booked a transfer to the hotel we wouldn't have been able to locate the hotel. The girl at the counter was very unfriendly. There were no bell boys to carry our bags as the roads were busy because of the the night market in front of the hotel. First room was noisy so we moved to a second room which was really small, had mould on the ceiling, spiders in the room and dirty curtains. Bathroom had broken toilet roll holder. Tv was broken when asked for the maintaince guy we didn't get one at all.

We arrived at 3 AM and to our surprise, the man at the reception was very polite and welcomed us with a smile. He also gave better options during the booking and was even kind enough to show us the rooms before check in.
My family was very satisfied with the family room. Was huge and had 2 double beds. Bathrooms were basic but clean.
The travel desk is very expensive for a simple city tour.
One thing to watch is, usually this hotel gets crowded with visitors organized by agencies after 9 PM and the lift gets totally blocked. You will not be able to use the lift during these time.
ChowKit monorail is at a walking distance.
The hotel / restaurant does not have a bottle opener.
Overall experience is that hotel is clean and provide good service.
