Situated in the Golden Triangle, the inexpensive Hotel Rae obviously boasts an advantageous location in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Although this newly opened inn sits on a traffic laden road, its spot is considered to be especially advantageous. Encircled by major shopping malls like Low Yat Plaza and Sungei Wang to one side and Changkat Bukit Bintang - one of the hottest and trendiest nightspot areas in KL - on the other, the hotel is never short of entertainment options

Speed of check in. Helpfulness of front desk. I feel that front desk needs more empathy. I feel that whenever I call down from my room or ask some queries at the front desk I am a nuisance or disturb the front desk on duty from doing something in the computer. In addition, on the 3rd of my stay the drawer in my closet fell down and called twice but no one came to check it out. The following day I called and informed about the same. A gentleman came to my room and saw the challenge. He tried to fix it but he cannot do anything at that time. I requested him to come back but he never did until I check out. Overall, the staff at the front desk does not really care about guest concerns.
The location is excellent for the price. The bedding etc were a little run down and the air condition took time to cool, but I did not mind that too much. The staff was very cooperative and gave me an option to change rooms for the airconditioning. The reception allowed me to check in without my passport. I had asked for a window room and my room had huge windows which I liked. I never got time to try the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again on the next visit.
