NICE HOTEL,SAFE AND SECURE BUT THE ROOM IS SMALL,THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY...
The name of the hotel, Cube Hotel, is quite appropriate, although 'Box Hotel' would be better, as that about sums up the room. If you have a cat, it would be best not to bring it as you'll struggle to swing it around!
To say the room is small is putting it mildly. The bed is pushed into one corner so one person has to climb over their partner to get in and out, and even with it pushed into the corner, there's still only a very small gap at the foot of the bed and on the other side.
Every Picture in the brochures show kettles in each room, but in reality, there is no kettle. Interestingly, though, the room does have 2 teaspoons provided. Go figure!
One really quite irritating aspect of the room is that the remote control for the air con is secured to the wall so every time we wanted to make an adjustment to the settings, we had to keep getting up and down. Why provide a remote and then fix it to the wall?!
When we checked in, we went to the room we had been given and it felt more like a cave rather than a room as it had no window at all. Neither of us were happy about that so we went back to reception and the girl changed our room with no problems.
She said she hadn't given us the room with a window because it's at the front of the building and it's noisy, which was very considerate of her. And having stayed here for a few nights, we can confirm that the room at the front of the building (that has a window) is *very* noisy ... ridiculously so.
So if you stay here, you either get a windowless cave or you get to feel like you're sleeping in Grand Central Station!
On the plus side, the reception staff are very friendly and helpful, but other than that, you couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel again!
