Hotel Lao was badly in need of a major facelift. The room was small, broken toilet seat, cockroaches ( I killed two) and overpriced. i booked at a discount internet price of $33 but discovered that other guests were paying $25 and some bargained for $20.
Very centrally located in Vientiane. Very nice outdoor restuarant in the courtyard with big catfish in the pool. As with most other hotels in Asia, breakfast is VERY EARLY and ends about 10 am - when we are on vacation, we like to have breakfast late in the morning, or even at noon hour. But the food was very good.
