Arimid is an atmospheric cluster of bungalows, closer to the slowboat pier than the centre of town. Bungalows are adjoined by small balconies in groups of two or three. Made of dark wood and stained rattan, theyre attractive and prettily furnished, although the rooms do have a slightly damp smell. The tiled bathrooms are clean and have a hot shower.

At Arimid guesthouse you stay in bambo-huts with airconditioning. the 33 euro you pay is way too much. The owner gets 25 euro, 15 for the hut and 10 for breakfast. For 10euro you could eat all you want, but we got a 2 baquets, egg and thea and jam (overpriced). For 33euro you can stay in a very good hotel in laos and soo this place is overpriced. We told the owner that and he became very angry, it wasnt a pleasant stay there (we think he even disconnected the power for a half hour). Overall opinion: bad, overpriced.
