Haneda Airport (HND), formally known as Tokyo International Airport, opened in 1931 and designed to handle Tokyo’s domestic air traffic and over 60 million passengers annually, when the operation of the Narita Airport started in 1978. It is located 30 minutes south of central Tokyo. Many nice accommodations are on service, which good accesses to Tokyo and Asakusa that is the temple town flourished during Edo period (1603-1868). The atmosphere of old Japan attracts many tourists throughout the year. Nakamise Street, a pedestrian mall lining from Kaminari-mon to Senso-ji Temple, sits many small shops selling traditional Japanese items and food. This area is neighboured to the well-known Ueno Park and Akihabara, the electronic town.
