Dorsoduro district is located in southern part of the city, the ending of the Grand Canal. The area is the highest area dated back to the sixth century till the eleventh century brought the religious buildings sampling the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute and the Zattere Quay are now landmarks. Some of its attractions include the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
