Cannaregio Hotels

Cannaregio district, named after a grand canal in the northern part of Venezia, was once the major entrance to Venice before the railway constructed link into the city. This northern area contains a few grand palaces and nice houses facing the canal, where some of the hotels built on the once original palaces. Visitors are lured by the charm of historical scent of Venezia, highlighted by the Jewish Ghetto and museum, evidencing Venice was once the prosperous mercantile port, while Basilica di San Marco is the most visited. The magnificent charm of Venice is the large pedestrians. Driving lane can never be, cars allowed neither. Vaporetti (water buses) and water taxi would be helping, when you get exhausted after the long shopping.
