Turin boasts its charm in Northern Italy where one hour drive from France, homes to three of the world fames; FIAT car, Shroud [the supposed face of Christ imprinted on it] and the Juventus Football Club. Name of Turin derived from Celtic, Tau means mountains, while Torino in Italian means little bull as seen on the city’s coat of arm. This little bull maybe not that little, it has superb Baroque architecture, many palaces and churches painted in red and yellow for the Savoia, which is uncharacteristic Italian city. A bit more French with wide boulevards along white buildings make the city centre more similar to Paris, while the plenty of where to shop, start at Piazza Castello and Via Garibaldi.
