The family owned hotel Principe di Piemonte was inaugurated in 1998. It is an elegantly furbished, tastefully decorated Hotel that prides itself with its personalised service. On arrival you are given a detailed map of Rome with instructions on how best to get about. The multi-lingual staff are able to provide all the information you may need, including tours that can be booked in the Hotel up to one hour before departure. These include morning, afternoon and evening tours of the Vatican, Musuems, Catacombes, Tivoli gardens just to name a few, or the more extensive full day tours to Florence, Capri, Pompei, Assisi etc. It is important to note that these tours have pick -up and drop-off to the Hotel.
Walk to the Coloseum (OR tram no. ... [+] More3), for the Vatican take the "40 Express" bus straight from the Termini train station.
A one euro ticket is needed and is valid for 75 mins.
The Hotel is 50 m. from the main door/ancient entrance to Rome known as the "Porta Maggiore" Square where trams and buses run frequently. Getting to the station, one can tram or walk to find the main Bus Depot which accesses all of Rome.
Each of the 20 rooms is equipped with: en-suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial phone, climatized airconditioning, safety box, bar/fridge and Satelite T.V.
The hotel offers a buffet style continental breakfast with daily baked croissants and bread, cereals and a choice of fruit juices, English tea and Gold Blend coffee.
Reasonably priced Restaurants are dotted all around the Hotel: we can indicate those that we can recommend, or you can be more adventurous and go further affield. It is difficult to not eat well in Italy!
From 1 of January 2011 a NEW TAX to pay direct in hotel cash of 2 €uro per person per night is not included in the room price.
