**As of 01st July 2011, the Florence city council has applied a city tax equal to 3 eur per person per night to be paid directly to the hotel. Children up to 10 years old are exempted. The city tax will not be applied beyond the 10th night stay.**
The original structure backs up to the '700 and was composed of the sole first floor divided in two rooms close to the Arno river. Some traces are still visible and the two big arches most probably delimited a "Loggiato". During the course of the years the structure has been restructured many times, especially after the last war by Cavaliere Malentacchi Orazio, to whom the hotel is dedicated, that completed the works.
In 1966 a dramatic flood that hit Florence, caused big damage to the palace that was submerged by over two meters of water and mud; months of work were spent then in order to free it from mud and debris. ... [+] More Receptive structure from 1990 was transformed in Hotel in 1998-1999 and fully started its activity the 1st September 1999. The 3 star Hotel inaugurated the 1st September 1999, includes a small but elegant hall, and is managed by the Papini-Sassi Family that has founded it.
