The hotel is situated in the historic Palazzo Morrocchi, centrally located on via Cavour, one of the city's most prestigious streets, which runs from the Cathedral in Piazza Duomo through the north of the city centre and out onto the boulevards. For almost a quarter of a century from 1848 this Palazzo was the base of the avant-garde Florentine and Tuscan group of artists known as "I Macchiaioli".

Within a few minutes walk you can reach numerous famous sights such as the Museo dell'Accademia (where you can admire Michelangelo's statue of David) and the incredible Uffizi Gallery, crossing through wonderful streets famed for their rich history and for the elegant selection of shops and boutiques of today.

Occupying the whole of the first floor of what used to be the residence of Costantino Morrocchi, the hotel has been carefully and elegantly furnished maintaining the beauty of the grand halls and their frescoes by great 19th Century artists, among which can be seen those by the academic painter Annibale Gatti who manages to capture our emotions with his style bridging romanticism and realism.

The bedrooms are very quiet and are all on one floor, tastefully and comfortably furnished with great attention to detail. Each room is equipped with a minibar, satellite tv, WiFi Internet access, safe, and air conditioning and hair dryer. All rooms are ensuite.
