Sulawesi Hotels
Sulawesi is the world's eleventh-largest island covering an area of 174,600 square kilometres. It has four large peninsulas, lending the island its distinctive shape. The island's peninsulas have traditionally been remote from each other because of the decidedly mountainous interior and as a result Sulawesi has better connections by sea than by road. The island features fauna that is only found there and is thus a treasure trove for naturalists. However Sulawesi is no far-flung uninhabited tropical island; with a population of almost 15 million, the island houses about 7% of Indonesia's total population.
