The Bhanuswari Resort & Spa is located 10 minutes drive from Ubud & Mas, "The Culutural Capital of bali", hidden amongst rice paddies. This unique property is surrounded by water: rice irrigation streams, naturalspring-fed streams, and the Petanu River. Furnishing are produced locally from coconut trees. The artwork was done by local crafts people. Balinese architects and designers carried out the construction and local Balinese professional handle management and staffing. Bhanuswari resort & Spa offers workshops by local artists and craftspeople teaching the Balinese arts including wood carving, batik fabric painting, gamelan music and much more. A nice laid back resort in the midst of paddy fields. Just what we were looking for to wind down from city life. The room was villa was nice. We preferred to use the resort pool more than the dip pool in the villa. The porch area was nice and a good place to sit and chiill out every night. But there are some basic things lacking that could have made this a 4-star. But until then it stays a 3-star that requires some refurbishment.
The hotel was fairly basic but clean and the staff friendly.
