One of Hong Kong is newest and most eagerly awaited upscale hotels opens mid October 2009, the latest development of Harbour Plaza Hotels and Resorts Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees. Located near the former Kai Tak Airport region of Kowloon, just minutes from Hong Kong diverse sightseeing, shopping and entertainment, the property is reachable by it is complimentary shuttle bus, which is more than a ride but also a tour through old Hong Kong. This upscale 4-star hotel has 702 rooms including 104 spacious suites with fully equipped kitchenette, great for long staying guests.

This is a great hotel, very nice inside. Compared to what I saw online, this was much nicer than most. It is out of the way a bit, but they have a free shuttle to the MTR station at Tsim Sai Shui and we rode the shuttle everyday, back and forth, and found it to be very convenient! It helped save the cost of taxis. The price we saved by staying away from an MTR station, but by using the shuttle was huge! As well as having access to a very nice hotel. Breakfast was good, but nothing over the top. Did not eat other meals here as we were out and about everyday.
The first room 2112 that we checked in had a very strong foul smell. We told a staff member of the hotel who called some one to spray the air refresher but it did not help at all. We fnally had to ask for a change of room. The change was swift though and the guy helping the luggage transfer was very helpful and polite.
