Pau Hotels

Pau is a town sited in centre of Pyranees, which is many ways closer to Spain than France. Pau was the capital of the former province of Bearn, where the birthplace of Henry IV of France and sits a magnificent castle, the Chateau de Pau dominates that quarter of the city, and it is where Marie Antoinette spent her summers much often. Pau has long been a favourite resort of wealthy foreigners. There are many mountain ski resorts, the shrine at Lourdes, and the pretty hilltop town of St-Bertrand-de-Comminges. Grand Prix de Pau is also a major event of the town.
