Umag is a coastal city in Istria, Croatia. It is the westernmost city of Croatia, which dates back in seventh century in the period of the Roman Empire. Umag is full of old character with its narrow, winding streets and a medieval urban structure with many of picturesque squares, some of the tenth century town wall and 14th century towers, while a 15th century Gothic polyptych, the church of St Roche contains a wooden ceiling painted in oil that dates from the 18th century and the parish Baroque style church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and St Peregrine (1730) are here.
