Kunming has earned itself the nickname, 'the City of Eternal Spring' due to its consistently good weather. This has made it one of Southwest China's most popular destinations. It has one of the mildest climates in China with cool dry winters with mild days and crisp nights, and long, warm and humid summers. There are some 26 minority ethnic groups here and all celebrate various festivals throughout the year, making it a huge source of cultural interest.
