Xicheng is the largest section in the Old City and a hugely popular area for tourists to visit. Here we have a huge concentration of cultural pursuits that range from traditional sight-seeing options to an array of epicurean delights, to wildlife exploration and sites of extreme natural beauty. In a nutshell, it is laden with not-to-miss attractions. One of its quirkier attractions can be found in 'Club Obiwan' a 1930s Shanghai bar featured in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" - complete with a rooftop deck, perfect for sunset cocktails. Beijing Zoo and Aquarium are also big tourism pulls situated within the Xicheng area. A particularly affluent area, Xicheng is home to Beijing's elite so you should expect to see some jaw-dropping residential areas and restaurants, cafes and boutique to accommodate the local residents. Beijing Planetarium is also a 'must' when in Xicheng.
