The A.hotel, with its 120 rooms, is located at the famous Workers' Stadium of Beijing, surrounded by many chinese and western restaurants, several bars, a spa and the Beijing Aquarium. Just a short walk away in the neighbourhood you can find the Sanlitun Village and the Yashow Clothing Market for shopping as well as the well-known bars area of Sanlitun.

Some rooms are a LONG walk from the elevator - we found ourselves walking past 60 rooms. You are not made aware of a special 'privilege' the hotel has unless you read (in very small print and displayed on the Chinese side) a small notice on the counter to say that if your room is more than 30 from the elevator you get a 100 coupon from the bar. This is not strictly true though - you get a choice of 3 drinks... and they are all Bu Hao (not good). The staff were very friendly but the big plus is location. The Hotel says it is 'a dream, a fantasy' - whoever wrote that clearly does not have very high expectations... if you want that, stay at Hotel G - MUCH classier hotel and in same area (but almost double the price).
