Gent Hotels

Gent or Ghent or even Gaunt (in English) is a city in Flanders as well, which is the capital and the biggest city of the East Flanders region settled on the confluence of the Rivers Scheldt and Lys where developed into one of the richest cities of North Europe in the Middle Ages as a mercantile zone the same as Brugge was. The city today is still bustle with a port and college life. The Ghent-Terneuzen Canal links it to the sea. The medieval architectures are very well preserved, while the city centre is car-free zone.
