Minsk is Belarus’s capital, situated on the Svislach and Niamiha rivers. Minsk is also a headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). It has exciting history of 900 years, yet today it has been rebuilt from the damage of the WW II. Since tourism is not its main activity, yet travelling to Minsk is on-the-route of travelling throughout Europe. Belarusians are good with their national cuisine, which is similar to other East European ones. Generally it features heavy-fat potato dishes, mushrooms, soups and baked meat. The climate of Belarus is temperate-continental with mild and damp winter and warm summer.
