Vienna International Airport located 18km (11 miles) south-east of Vienna, is the busiest airport in Austria. With the usual souvenir shops, duty free stores, restaurants, hotel links and facilities for the disabled, it caters perfectly to international travellers. Conference centres and business centres exist for the busy business visitor and there are baby changing facilities for families as well as scenic tours for those with long waits between flights. Locally nicknamed Schwechat; the name of the nearby town, it is serviced by road and rail to the inner city and surrounding areas as well as the city’s other airport, Bratislava.
