Constructed in 1852, Douglas House served as Port Fairy's Dispensary, Post Office, Drapery Store and Shipping Agents habitat before being converted to guesthouse accomodation in 1901.

Six queen size ensuite bed & breakfast rooms with television and tea & coffee making facilities. The sixth room is either a Queen only or converted to a two bedroom suite.
Not only are your breakfast needs catered for, but the flexibility of self catering requirements in large, open-plan kitchens assist you in your needs and allow the option of foregoing The Douglas on River breakfast.
The bed & breakfast suites reside within tastefully decorated, spacious, light filled, twin conservatory houses. The way you decipher your choice of "house" accomodation is to choose from the River House or Garden House.
The River House sits almost touching the Moyne River bank. Each room opens up to attest beautiful, broad, tranquil views of a gentle river. Seperating you, your inviting country room, the branches of the aged Norfolk Island Pines and the placid waters edge is a sun-drenched sitting area for you to while away your time and distance yourself from the day to day and on a clear blue day watch the sunrise over the adjacent dunes across the river.
The Garden House is overtaken on the way to the River House. It sits snugg around spring time flowers and wants to claim it's own the scenery of greenery it oversees. The precious cottage garden fascade and lengthy strip of lush green grass gives this bed & breakfast it's unique sprawl of land rarely afforded an inner-township property. The Garden House also has it's own piece of originality in a sitting room to take your mind away.
Each House mirror one another with boisterous kitchens, large living areas and sinkable lounge suits facing out and wanting to consume the atmospheric era of this historic, beautiful, indulgent, boutique township.
Studio apartment, this easy access Studio is set back from the water next to the garden house, it has a very private setting looking out to established olive & pencil pine trees, once inside you have comfy setting. & only a short stroll down the lawn to the tranquill water side.
