Bluegum Ridge Cottages

Imagine! The foothills of the great Divide, the changing colours of the surrounding mountains (snow covered for part of the year)the rural solitude occasionally broken by the croaking of frogs in our dam or the distant bellowing of cattle, experience this from the verandah of one of our two self contained cottages. Bluegum Ridge cottages are situated on a rural 20 acre property some distance from our private residence; they are free standing and are separated from each other and screened by gardens for privacy. There is a heated outdoor spa between the two cottages.

The cottages each have 2 double bedrooms (1 b/room has a queen size bed the other has a double bed & a single roll out bed) Breakfast provisions are provided if required & each cottage has its' own BBQ, TV, radio/CD player and VCR with a selection of videos, wood burning slow combustion heaters for the cold weather and ceiling fans and portable evaporative coolers for those few very warm summer nights. ... There are a number of restaurants in near-by Mansfield & an old country pub 2km away providing hearty country meals.

The area is rich in natural attractions with fishing & bush walking being particularly popular, 4x4 drive tours & horse riding can be arranged & there is down hill skiing at Victoria's premier resort [Mt. Buller] in winter and cross country skiing at near by Mt. Stirling.

We have many years experience in this area, & we opened our cottages 5 years ago. We received our AAA 4 star rating at the beginning of 2004.

For guests who are not completely comfortable with such a relaxed atmosphere away from the rigors of city life we have quite good reception for Telstra mobiles and can arrange Internet, fax and E mail access through our private systems.

Unfortunately we do require minimum nights stay on public holiday weekends. We would like you to contact us 24 hours prior to arrival with an estimated arrival time.
