Residing in the lobby is contemporary Japanese restaurant and bar, Sokyo, by innovative chef Chase Kojima. Sokyo’s dishes explore beyond the usual confines of sashimi and sushi, showcasing fresh seafood direct from Sydney’s best local suppliers.
Guests are also invited to relax by the outdoor infinity pool complete with a bar and lounge deck area.
Guests of The Darling are able to enjoy the many entertainment and dining experiences The Star has to offer, all within the same complex. The Star offers more than 20 restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and cafes, a luxury retail collection, brand new nightclub and upscale gaming areas.
Restaurants include Stefano Manfredi’s modern Milanese venture, Balla, and Teage Ezard’s contemporary grill, BLACK by ezard, both enjoying spectacular views of the harbour and city. While world renowned New York chef, David Chang, has opened his first restaurant outside of the US at The Star called Momofuku Seiobo. Soon to come to The Star will be Sydney Cantonese favourite, Golden Century.
In partnership with the Tao Group, The Star has recently opened nightclub Marquee-The Star, featuring the world’s best DJs and performers set against floor to ceiling views over the city. The Tao Group has been the force behind LAVO in New York and Las Vegas, TAO Las Vegas and Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The Sydney nightclub marks the first venture for the group outside of the US.
The Star’s retail collection includes leading luxury brands such as Bottega Veneta, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci and Chanel Frangrance and Beauty Boutique. Other stores include Moda Emporio, IM Lingerie, Calvin Klein Jeans, LK Boutique and G-Star Raw.
Also coming soon to The Star is a 4000 capacity events centre designed to host domestic and international meetings, seminars, trade shows, exhibitions and award ceremonies as well as concerts by A-list performers from around the world. This venue will operate in addition to the existing Lyric Theatre which stages musicals and theatrical productions and concerts.
