Rydges Hotel Southbank is a four star 98 room hotel conveniently located in the CBD of Townsville; on the trendy restaurant precinct of Palmer Street.

A short walk to the Central Business District, shops, nightclubs, heritage bars and popular tourist attractions such as Reef HQ, The Museum of Tropical North Queensland and the Magnetic Island Ferry.

The hotel boasts views of the Marina, Magnetic Island, CBD and Castle Hill. There is a swimming pool and spa situated in lush, tropical gardens.

The Southbank Grill is Townsville's favourite dinning experience offering diners a creative menu from the highet quality of local produce. Famous for it's steaks, extensive wine list and fresh innovative food.

Rydges Southbank Townsville is very excited to announce that as of May 14, 2012 the hotel will undergo a full bedroom refurbishment. The works will include new carpet and paint, new built in robes, new bed heads, new lighting fixtures and new dress linen. Guest corridors will also receive new styling.

The project is due to conclude by the end of August. There will be up to 10 rooms out of the hotels inventory at any given time throughout this period. It is not envisaged that the works will
have any direct effect on our in house guests as it will be conducted between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday – Saturdays.

While all efforts will be made to ensure our most regular guests and bookers are looked after throughout this period, we encourage you to make your reservations as early as possible.
The Southbank Grill will also undertake a face lift later in the year. This will see the breakfast and dinner concepts revitalised and the bar area opened up onto the bustling Palmer Street. It will be amazing!
