Congratulations! You have chosen Bathurst - an ideal base for touring the Central West of NSW. If you are coming to see the area, there are many local sites like Minerals and Fossils Museum, galleries, craft shops (patchwork people note), lovely Victorian architecture, historic houses and walks, open gardens (October), walking and cycling circuits and of course the famous car racing circuit. Enjoy our wineries and excellent restaurants.
Exploring further afield, by car, you may meander through the historic villages of Carcoar, Millthorpe, Sofala and Hill End; have lunch at the Tarana pub; or go to Cowra Japanese Gardens, Dubbo Zoo, Mudgee wineries and the lime stone caves of Jenolan and Abercrombie.
There is so much to see that you will need to stay a week: we can offer you weekly rates.
A Winter-Rose Cottage is in a tree lined street of historic Bathurst.
